As a DMU & Industrial Engineer, you will be the backbone of our engineering execution chain, from digital mock-up management and configuration control to detailed part design, drawings and hands-on industrial support. This is a polyvalent, roll-up-your-sleeves role for someone who thrives on variety: one day you maybe structuring the DMU and managing configuration baselines, the next you’ll be designing a bracket or fixture, producing manufacturing drawings, or working alongside technicians on the shop floor to solve an integration problem. You will join the team at a critical stage: building a full-scale demonstrator with flight testing. You will work closely with the CTO and the entire engineering team.
Key responsibilities:
Digital Mock-Up (DMU) & Configuration Management
- Own and maintain the product DMU (Fusion 360): structure the assembly tree, manage parts and sub-assemblies, ensure spatial integration and clash-free design across all disciplines.
- Enforce configuration management processes: naming conventions, versioning, change management (Engineering Change Requests / Orders), baseline control and traceabilitythroughout the product lifecycle.
- Act as the central point of reference for the digital product definition, ensuring consistency between design, manufacturing and testing configurations.
Design & Drafting
- Perform detailed mechanical design of components, assemblies, fixtures, tooling and test equipment, from concept sketches through to fully dimensioned 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Serve as an expert forcolleagues designing proprietary components, guiding them on design choices, manufacturability.
- Apply GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and aerospace drawing standards to produce clear, unambiguous technical documentation.
- Collaborate withstress, thermal and fluid engineers to translate analytical requirements intomanufacturable part designs.
Industrial Engineering& Hands-On Support
- Support manufacturing and assembly activities on the shop floor: advise on fabrication methods, resolve fit-up issues, validate first articles and accompany parts from drawing release to installation.
- Contribute to the definition of assembly sequences, tooling requirements and industrialization plans for prototypes and products.
- Interface with suppliers and sub-contractors on technical specifications, manufacturing feasibility and quality requirements.
- Participate in test bench assembly, sub-system integration and aircraft integration activities asneeded.
Required profile:
- Graduate of a top engineering school or holder of a Master’s degree in energy engineering, propulsion, or mechanicalengineering.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in a demanding industrial environment: aerospace, space, energy, motorsport ordefense, combining CAD/DMU work, detailed design and shop-floor involvement.
Required skills and qualities:
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools for 3D modeling, assembly management and drawing production.
- Solid understanding of configuration management principles and tools (change management, baselines, part numbering, BOM management).
- Mastery of GD&T, drawing standards and manufacturing tolerancing.
- Hands-on mindset: comfortable working on the shop floor, using hand tools, and solving practical integration and fabrication problems.
- Proven versatility: ability to switch between digital design office work and industrial/workshop activities with equal effectiveness.
- Rigor, analytical mindset and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of / sensitivity to aerospace requirements and standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English.
