As a test bench and instrumentation engineer, you will be at the heart of the company’s experimental activities. Equally hands-on with hardware and data, you will install, instrument and develop test benches while contributing to their design and fabrication. You will join the team at a critical stage of development: building a full-scale demonstrator with flight testing. You will work closely with the CTO, design teams and industrial partners.
Your key responsibilities :
- Install, configure and maintain test bench instrumentation: pressure, temperature, flow and vibration probes, torque sensors, etc.
- Manage data acquisition systems and associated instrumentation software:
- Configure and operate acquisition chains(hardware and software), ensuring measurement quality and reliability.
- Carry out test bench modifications and upgrades based on campaign requirements and lessons learned.
- Contribute to the design and fabrication of partial test rigs and dedicated test equipment
- Perform mechanical assemblies, sub-system integration, and participate in aircraft integration
- Write technical documents: test procedures, campaign reports, anomaly reports, instrumentation specifications and qualification files
Required profile :
- Graduate of an engineering school(Master’s degree) in mechanical engineering, physical measurements or instrumentation, or holder of a technical diploma (2-3 year degree) with significant hands-on experience in a test environment.
- 3 to 7 years of experience intesting and instrumentation in a demanding industrial environment: aerospace, space, energy or automotive.
Required skills and qualities :
- Proficiency in measurement instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, vibrations) and data acquisition chains.
- Skills in mechanical assembly, blueprint reading, and fabrication of parts or sub-assemblies.
- Good knowledge of data acquisition and bench control software (LabVIEW, Catman, DASYLab or equivalent).
- Strong appetite for hands-on work and practical problem-solving.
- Rigor, analytical mindset and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with diverse profiles
- Knowledge of / sensitivity to aerospace requirements and standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English.
