As a Business Developer, you will be on the front line identifying and winning tomorrow’s clients and partners in the aviation sector. Equally at ease with a light aircraft manufacturer or owner and a regional aviation player, you will know how to adapt your pitch and approach to each stakeholder. Reporting directly to the leadership team (CEO and Managing Director), your objective will be clear: secure contracts, build strategic partnerships and grow Viraj Aero’s client portfolio. You will join the team at a key stage of its commercial development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Source and prospect new clients across the aviation ecosystem (light aviation, regional aviation, airframers, engine manufacturers, operators) and tailor the commercial approach to each segment
  • Develop and manage industrial and technological partnerships:
    • Manage day-to-day partnership operations: coordination, data sharing, reporting and partner satisfaction.
    • Negotiate and structure commercial agreements, collaboration contracts and data sharing protocols.
    • Identify collaborative funding opportunities and relevant institutional programs
  • Represent Viraj Aero at aviation trade shows, conferences and industry events (Paris AirShow, Aero Friedrichshafen, etc.) and actively grow the company’s network
  • Contribute to the commercial strategy in direct coordination with management: competitiveintelligence, market analysis, preparation of commercial proposals and clientpresentations

Required profile:

  • Graduate of an engineering or business school with a specialization in or strong affinity for the aviation sector.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, partnership management or sales in the aviation sector or a related industry.

Required skills and qualities:

  • In-depth knowledge of the aviation ecosystem (airframers, engine manufacturers, equipment suppliers, operators) and ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven skills in commercial negotiation, partnership structuring and client relationship management.
  • Sufficient technical background tounderstand and present an innovative aircraft propulsion product. Private pilot license (CS-23 or CS-25 aircraft) is a plus.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong networking ability and enthusiasm for representing the company at professional events.
  • Rigor, analytical mindset and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with diverse profiles
  • Knowledge of / sensitivity to aerospace requirements and standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English.
